How is Far Infrared different from a conventional high heat dry or steam sauna?
Conventional high heat "steam" or "dry" saunas use hot air in order to transfer heat. The air must be 180-210°F to heat the body hot enough to sweat. Far infrared warms your body directly without having to heat the air. This allows for far more pleasant temperatures inside the sauna of 110-140°F. Inside the Health Mate the Far Infrared is not heating the air but penetrating into the body which brings you much greater health benefits than conventional high heat saunas.
The Health Mate requires no venting,
maintenance, or plumbing. The cost of electricity is far less and there is no
risk of fire, mold, mildew, fungus, or bugs. The environment in the sauna is
more comfortable and there is no hot air to make breathing difficult. Unlike
traditional high heat saunas, the Health Mate Infrared Sauna is completely safe
even for those with significant health problems.
